Evgeny Shcheglov is a muralist, painter, graphic artist and author of multimedia projects.

Evgeny Shcheglov was born in 1970 in Moscow into the family of the famous graphic artist Evgeny Borisovich Shcheglov.

Winner of the Moscow Prize for Literature and Art 2020.

He received a classical art education, graduating from the Moscow Academic Art Lyceum of the Russian Academy of Arts and the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after Surikov. V.I. Surikov specialising as a muralist. During the years of his studies he was accepted as a member of the Moscow Union of Artists as an active participant in Russian and foreign exhibitions. Later became a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia.

The main place of his activity is monumental painting, he also works with conceptual realism and impressionism, is engaged in abstract painting and surrealist graphics.

In the area of monumental painting the artist works in the technique of classical painting, follows the principles of harmonious and stylistic connection of painting and architecture. He creates realistic compositions to enlarge the space, paintings imitating architecture, abstract compositions, all kinds of ornaments to decorate interiors and facades. Evgeny Shcheglov has created numerous murals and panels in Russia and France as well as several panels for the Moscow Gostiny Dvor and the Garden Ring in Moscow.

Co-author of the plafond of the CSKA metro station and the panel in the lobby of the Shelepikha metro station. CSKA and Shelepikha metro stations were awarded with the “Golden Badge” of the international architectural festival Zodchestvo’18 as objects of social and cultural significance.
